One of the most popular models of Gibson guitar is the Gibson Les Paul, a beautiful instrument made with a solid mahogany body, rosewood fretboard and carved maple wood top. Another great option in Gibson guitars is the Gibson SG. This model was first released in 1959 as a modified Les Paul as a double cutaway with a horned look and a thinner body. Another popular Gibson guitar is the Firebird, a solid-body electric guitar with a unique shape. Because the treble horn of the guitar’s body is longer than the other side, it is often referred to as a “reverse”. The Gibson Flying V has an eye-catching V-like shape and is made from Korina wood, a wood that is similar to but lighter in color than mahogany. For over fifty years Gibson has been designing and manufacturing guitars, a fact which makes this company the perfect one to turn to if you need a guitar for your beginner guitar lessons.
While Gibson provides great quality in a guitar, they can also be quite expensive so be aware of this fact before you begin shopping for a new guitar. You may even want to shop around for a while before you select a guitar. Once you do make the decision to purchase, however, be sure to start your lessons off right by purchasing the perfect instrument – a Gibson guitar.
